When Jade first contacted me to let me know she was pregnant, and wanting me to photograph their new addition in the hospital, I was over the moon. I honestly had a smile as big as the day I found out I was pregnant myself! See I had met Jade and Dan a few years ago when I photographed their maternity session. Due to heartbreaking circumstances they sadly did not come home with their precious daughter, Violet.
Fast forward 2 years and a big welcome to the beautiful Amber June ♥️
When I first arrived at the Womens and Children’s Hospital I was greeted by the biggest smiles, bursting with excitement and the warmest hug. Born at 36 weeks and weighing a respectful 6lb 10oz, Amber was perfect in every single way. Witnessing both Jade and Dan with Amber was truly beautiful. The loving looks, sweet cuddles and smiles filled the room and created a calm and joyful atmosphere. At just 2 days old Amber loved being snuggled up close to Mum and Dad and was an absolute gem 🙂
I feel so honoured to have been asked by Jade and Dan to document such a special time in their lives. Amber is the rainbow after their storm and so very loved xx
Along with family and friends, Jade and Dan were supported by Walk With Wings, a not-for-profit charity who want to help raise awareness for premature babies, find a cure for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and to prevent any other babies growing their wings too early.
