Late November Bec and Steve said their I do’s in the most beautiful setting at Penny’s Hill Winery. Their ceremony had all four seasons make a appearance but the sun shone at all the right times to help make their day seriously, incredibly beautiful ✨ Read on to hear more xx
I first met Bec at the start of last year, when her little man Max was just a baby! I remember it so clearly as I, myself was 7 months pregnant with Chloe! We bonded instantly over coffee & baby chats which eventually led to all things wedding! Bec and Steve wanted a rustic, vintage wedding which also had a hint of elegance- and boy did they hit the nail on the head!
On the morning of their big day the sun was shining as I headed to Bec & Steve’s home to capture the guys doing their thing. I met the videographer Daniel from Gallery 11 and what a team we made, honestly! I love when I meet someone and we are on the same page instantly, it definitely makes for the A team and ensures we are there for our fabulous couple in any way possible. Steve was nervous but excited and scrubbed up so well even the boys said so 🤣 Oh and goodness, when I saw Max I couldn’t believe it, what a cutie! (Kids grow way too fast don’t they!) Once everyone was ready and looking sharp we walked across the road for a few photos before Daniel and I headed to the beach to meet the girls!
We arrived at the girls accomodation, a lovely two storey house right on the beach, and were met with excitement, nerves and champagne! Bec and her bridesmaids + step-daughter to be, Tayla were all looking gorgeous as they had their finishing touches applied by their glam squad. Once the ladies were ready Bec’s Dad made his way in for the first look. It is always SO special watching a father see his little girl transformed into a Bride and when they tear up you know I do too!
We all made our way to Penny’s Hill where Steve and his groomsmen were waiting out at the ceremony location, out in the beautiful paddock with a backdrop of gum trees and vines. Paul their Celebrant was greeting guests and making sure everything was perfect and excitement built as the Classic Jags arrived.
Starting the walk down was Tayla and Max, followed by the gorgeous bridesmaids. Then, cue surprise… Out emerged a Bag piper! He played beautifully as Bec and her father walked towards Steve. As you can imagine, it was quite emotional for Steve seeing his two children and then Bride walking down the aisle so there were definitely a few tears. It was such a beautiful ceremony which included a Wine Ceremony which is the blending of two bottles of wine to symbolise the blending of two families ♡ Although it did rain (praise for the legends at Classic Jags who brought out the Umbrellas for the Bridal Party) the sun also shone through at alll the right moments.
After the ceremony the Bridal party, Daniel and I moved straight into photos and let me tell you, we had fun! Bec and Steve simply did not let their smiles leave their faces and stole kisses whenever they thought no one was looking (haha I was there so there was no hiding 😂). Moving onto the reception was seamless. The Stables were transformed into the most rustic and beautiful space to hold their reception with candles as far as the eye could see, a cake made of cheese and an outdoor dance floor complete with festoon lights. Magical is the word that comes to mind ♡
Bec and Steve I am so so happy for you both and your gorgeous children, what a team you all make! Thank you so much for asking me along to capture your beautiful day, I loved every minute of it! x
