Louis + Beck | Al Ru Farm Wedding

// 12th of March 2017 //

High school sweethearts, Louis and Beck were married at the stunning Al Ru Farm in front of their closest family and friends last March. Despite the not so fantastic weather on the day, all that surrounded the pair were heartfelt smiles, love and hope for their future ❤︎

I first met Beck and Louis last year at their Wedding consult, we caught up for a coffee and I heard all about the plans for their dream Wedding. In between describing their vintage/rustic style Beck said she wanted a big focus of the day to be about family. I smiled and said absolutely! Well guys, your Wedding day was certainly just that. The morning started off at Beck’s Mother and Step-father’s home in the Adelaide Hills. Backed onto a forest it was a stunning spot. Unfortunately grey clouds and rain prevented us from being able to venture out too far but nothing could dull the smile on Louis’ face. As a sneaky gift to her Hubby-to-be, Beck bought Louis a pair of “No Cold Feet Here” socks to warm his toes and any nerves he may have had (he didn’t!). After the boys were ready I headed to Al Ru Farm where Beck, her Mum and Bridesmaids Olivia, Amanda and Liana, were getting ready. Usually when I arrive to a Bride’s getting ready spot it is all go, go, go, but not here. Beck and the girls had their hair and makeup complete, were feeling excited but calm and were about to pop a bottle of bubbles! Perfect! Once the girls were dressed they helped Beck get into her beautiful Wedding Gown. Wow, she was an absolute vision! After adorable flower girl, Mackenzie, and Page Boy, Tyler, arrived it was go time 🙂

Admittedly, it was a bit of a different scene at the ceremony location. Louis and Groomsmen, Sean, Lewis and Peter were huddled under the archway leading to The White Garden, talking to Celebrant Paul when I arrived. The rain was relentless and they were throwing around the the idea of moving to an undercover area due to the rain. After much discussion the decision was made to stick it out and hope for the best. Let’s just say Louis and Beck were showered with love for almost the entire ceremony but couldn’t have been happier.  When time came to say I do the biggest smiles erupted and they had their first kiss as Husband and Wife. They had just married the person of their dreams and that is all that mattered ❤︎

After Family photos we scooted off for some Bridal party photos. Somehow we left at exactly the right time, the rain had completely cleared and we were met with the most intensely beautiful coloured gardens and the perfect backdrop to capture these lovebirds and their besties. What was to follow was one big party with guests feasting on scrumptious food, drinking delicious wine and dancing the night away! The Barn was decorated with exquisite chandeliers, warm candlelight, gorgeous florals and an abundance of love. The gorgeous cake from Cristarella Cake was the centrepiece of the room, a Kids corner that Beck had created (complete with a personalised ‘Louis + Beck’ activity book) kept the children occupied, DJ AK set the wonderful tone of the night and a wood fire crackled outside alongside the Photo booth. Wow, what a Wedding!

Beck and Louis, you guys are amazing. You didn’t let the weather get in the way of your perfect day and to be honest, I actually think it made it even more so. You embraced the ‘whatever will be will be’ attitude, smiled and held hands through it all. If you could brave that storm, you can brave anything.. together. Thank you for inviting me along to witness and capture your love story, as it was in all of it’s glory. I love that you will look back on these images in years to come and they will tell the story of your Wedding day xo
